Northridge, Los Angeles is a community located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Since the mid-1990s, it was widely believed to be the epicenter of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The actual location was in the community of Reseda, but the name stuck.
Since the episode Freak the Freak Out, Dan Schneider has put Northridge on the map again. Two people from the series, Christie and Bella, are shown to live in this area. Known locations include Parthenia Street, which is mentioned by Sinjin. Rex also went to the Northridge High School prom mentioned in Prom Wrecker. In the show, it is implied that girls from Northridge are good looking but "gold-diggers," meaning that they use guys to get money and goods, as seen in Freak the Freak Out when Rex says that he doesn't want to spend money on them, and Christie and Bella steal Robbie's wallet and Sinjin's watch.
There used to be a reality show that Rex watched called "The Real Girls of Northridge" (see Parodies), but, much to Rex's dismay, it was cancelled. In iParty with Victorious, Kenan Thompson says that he wants to meet Northridge girls and he does. He also claims to be able to tell a Northridge girl just by her appearance, as well as their dance routines. Sinjin held his TV show in Northridge (see The Worst Couple).
In the episode Driving Tori Crazy, four Northridge girls ride with Tori and Beck. They flirt with Beck excessively (i.e. smelling his hair, offering to chew his gum for him) which annoys Tori. Tori advises Beck to make a left turn, and this results in one of the Northridge girls saying Tori doesn't "own" Beck, biting her elbow, and calling her a "grunch."
In Ice Cream for Ke$ha, Ke$ha announced that the winner of her ice cream treasure hunt challenge was a Northridge guy (only mentioned), disappointing Tori and the pack. However, the same night it was revealed that he faked his win, giving Tori and Andre a sliver of hope.
In The Blonde Squad, Northridge girls go to see Beck's movie.
In One Thousand Berry Balls, Tori and Andre were at the Northridge Mall for their jobs at Yotally Togurt, where they sold berry balls.
In Terror on Cupcake Street, Rex offers for their float to be the "ladies of Northridge". Tori says that no-one would like that, and Robbie and André say that they would like that.
