Portrayed By: Robert Christopher Riley[1]

Derrick[2] is a security guard at Hollywood Arts High School who appears in Stage Fighting. He is portrayed by Robert Christopher Riley.

Personality

Although not much is known about him, he tends to be annoying to most people, as Tori was annoyed with him during most of the episode. He seems to be friendly as well, as Tori and Jade dance with him at the end of the episode. He is also known to be gullible, as Jade and Tori escaped from the Blackbox Theater and he was tricked and did not suspect that they even left at all.

Role

In Stage Fighting, he was hired to protect Lane in case Tori got violent, but he just annoyed her to the point she was about to get violent. Lane gave her three weeks of detention, a lower grade, and made Tori clean the Blackbox Theater after a play that ended in a food fight scene. While Tori was cleaning food off the wall, Derrick asked her if the food she was cleaning off was mac and cheese, to which Tori angrily responded "Who cares?". When Jade comes to the theater to make up with Tori, Tori agrees, and Jade decides to clean the theater with her. They ask Derrick to join and he does. When he does this, Jade and Tori escape the theater and leave Derrick with the mess. Derrick is still dancing to the music by himself, but soon realizes he is alone.

Trivia

  • Although he is not the first annoying character to appear on the show, he ties with Sinjin as the most annoying.
  • He is the one of the only security guards to appear in the show and to have a name. The other is Otis.
  • He could possibly be paranoid, as he was quick to draw a weapon when Tori reached in her bag.
